Role

3D Design, Spatial Design, Concept Design

Project overview

They're Watching is a conceptual walk-through installation that transforms surveillance into something you can physically experience. Towers of translucent camera structures surround visitors while screens display facial recognition data and illuminated cables overhead map the constant flow of information being collected. The goal was to make people feel what they cannot normally see

Research

Surveillance is everywhere. These visualizations map the scale of modern data collection that inspired the installation.

Installation

A site visualization of the monument placed in Union Square, San Francisco.

Floor Plan & Elevations

Floor Plan & Elevations

First Draft

Rough sketches mapping out the core sequence and key shots.

Floor Plan

A walk-through layout designed around seven data zones, each representing a different category of information collected by surveillance systems.

Front Elevation

A 15-foot structure designed to feel imposing at street level, placing visitors inside the scale of surveillance infrastructure.

Back Elevation

The back of the structure maintains the same imposing scale, with the data cable system visible from every angle.

Final Renders

Final Renders

A selection of final 3D renders of the completed public exhibition.
