Project overview

Harmonize is an AI-powered medical startup I founded, and built end-to-end from user research and interface design to full product development, giving patients ownership of their health records while helping doctors spend less time on documentation and more time on care.

Problem

Healthcare is broken on both sides of the exam room. Patients struggle to access and transfer their own medical records, while doctors spend more time on paperwork than on people. Harmonize was built to fix that, giving patients ownership of their health data and giving doctors AI-powered tools to take back their time.

Project Reflection

Harmonize is an AI-powered healthcare platform designed to improve communication and information sharing between patients and healthcare providers. The project addresses two major challenges in modern healthcare: the administrative burden placed on doctors and the difficulty patients face when accessing and transferring their medical records. Through user research, interviews, and surveys with both patients and healthcare professionals, I identified opportunities to create a more transparent and efficient healthcare experience.

Conducting research with both patients and healthcare professionals early on revealed that the same problem looked completely different depending on which side of the exam room you were on. Harmonize is still in beta and actively evolving, and the lessons from this project continue to shape how I think about designing for trust, clarity, and human impact.
